As AI tools like ChatGPT become deeply integrated into our daily workflows, access to them has become essential. However, OpenAI has strict verification processes to prevent spam. When you try to register, you are often required to provide a valid phone number to receive an SMS OTP (One-Time Password).

If you value your privacy or don’t have a number supported by OpenAI, using a virtual number is the perfect solution.

Here is how you can easily bypass the hassle and get your ChatGPT account verified securely using WhatsNumber.

Why Use a Virtual Number for ChatGPT?

Many users run into the “This phone number is not supported” error when signing up for ChatGPT. Furthermore, exposing your personal phone number to multiple online platforms increases the risk of data leaks and spam.

By using a dedicated virtual number from WhatsNumber, you can:

• Maintain 100% Privacy: Keep your personal SIM card number completely out of the equation.
• Bypass Regional Restrictions: Access numbers from the US, UK, and other regions that OpenAI accepts.
• Higher Success Rates: Free SMS websites often use recycled public numbers that OpenAI blocks. WhatsNumber provides cleaner, private numbers for better OTP delivery.

Step-by-Step Guide: Verifying Your ChatGPT Account

Step 1: Create a WhatsNumber Account

Head over to WhatsNumber and sign up. It takes less than a minute.

Step 2: Choose Your Number

Step 3: Enter the Number on ChatGPT

Go to the ChatGPT sign-up page. When prompted for a phone number, copy the virtual number you rented from your WhatsNumber dashboard and paste it in.

Step 4: Receive Your OTP
